Today is just another day in Guatemala, but I haven’t forgotten that today is Memorial Day in the United States. A day, as my military friends will remind me, to remember the men and women who lost their lives in service to the United States. As compared to Veterans Day, when we remember all the people that have served. Thinking about the sacrifice they were willing to make, I’m reminded of the call as Jesus followers to be living sacrifices and the example set before us in Hebrews 11. I’m taking some time today to ponder those ideas more and to remember the people that have gone before. What can we discover for us today, in thinking on these things, during these times?
