A Healing Touch

The last year and several months, have had many challenges and surprises. Actually, I’ve had some pretty big surprises just in the last few weeks, too, but that is for another day. What have been some of the past year’s challenges and surprises for you?

For me, one of them, was the sudden stop to our rehabilitation promoter trainings in Guatemala and the inability to start some we had planned. What were we to do? It felt, as I know it did for many, that life came to a sudden stop. However, because of those changes, we’re now creating videos to help us train rehabilitation promoters and get others involved. The videos take time, but we know the effort will be worth it in the end.

Touch

As I was creating one of our videos on the experiences of people with disabilities, I came across a video Ron Widbin made for us in 2019. Some of the information in this video has changed, but the heart behind what we do and why we want to do it is still the same.

As someone wrote, “Nothing is so healing as the human touch.” We look forward to seeing how others will be touched through the continued work of the rehabilitation promoters we train.
