An Update On Jose

Jose showing us the parallel bars at his house.

A few weeks ago I shared our adventures going to visit Jose in his home. The visit encouraged us all, but that wasn’t the end. Recently, we received more good news.

Jose’s mom brought him to his therapy appointment a few weeks later and shared how her son couldn’t crawl and the difficulties he had walking. He couldn’t keep his feet flat and was always up on his toes, but recently something changed.

Now her son can crawl on his own, can get into tall kneeling (standing on his knees) to reach things he wants, and is starting to put his feet flat when he walks. She was so excited about all the changes.

Already good parents and very involved, they’re working hard to see what else they can do to help their son. They have seen improvements before, but these changes have only encouraged them and given them more hope regarding what their son might be able to do. Regardless of the outcome, they’re willing to do what it takes to give him the opportunity to do more.
