Remembering Fredi
We first met Fredi a couple of years ago. Because of some medical problems, requiring he use a colostomy bag, his physical motor skills were delayed. However, he quickly caught up with others his age and we graduated him from our physical therapy program last month.
Today, I learned that Fredi had been having significant stomach pain for the last couple of days. He died last night. The news and phone call came as a complete surprise. I knew there would be days ahead when we would receive this news, but I never thought he would be one of the children we would lose so soon.
As I fly to Uganda this afternoon, to graduate twenty-two students from our Bible school and plant a new one in the Congo, my prayers will also be with the family of Fredi too. I pray that they may find Him and His comfort and peace, as we all mourn the loss of this precious one.
