Promises for all Seasons – Part 1
Things haven’t gone as planned since I returned from a trip to the States in July, but that seems to be normal for this year. I’ve started to keep different verses handy on a flashcard app on my phone. I thought I’d share some with you. Wherever you find yourself today, may you be encouraged by these truths.
- The eternal God is a dwelling place and underneath are the everlasting arms (Deuteronomy 33:27a, NASB)
- Let me hear Your lovingkindnessĀ in the morning; For I trust in you; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to you I lift up my soul (Psalm 143:8, NASB).
- Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend upon your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take (Proverbs 3:5-6, NLT).
- Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God (Philippians 4:6, NASB).
- Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4, NASB).
- The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17, NIV).
- Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion foreverĀ (Psalm73:23-26, NIV).
