Andres turns three in just a little over a month. He’s received therapy through CAF at ASELSI for almost a year. According to his mom, he is making great progress. When he first started coming to ASELSI, he couldn’t hold up his head, roll, or sit on his own. Today, as you can see, he is sitting, rolling, and is working on crawling and standing. Despite being timid with me today, it is obvious he’s improving. 

Watching and talking to his mom, I saw evidence of his great support system. She told me Andres’ sister helps him with exercises at home. Siblings, in addition to parents, can make great rehabilitation promoters. As our team can tell you, good family support systems goes a long way in helping a child progress quickly. 

When I asked Andres’ mom if I could share his picture and story with you all, a broad smile appeared on her face along with a definite yes. “This program has been such a blessing to me and my son. He has learned so much. Thank you.”
