Good-bye, Hello
Not the normal way of greeting, but things don’t seem to always go as we plan. Earlier this year I shared with you about our rehabilitation promoter in Canilla, a great young man and a joy to work with. Well, his original degree is in accounting, and in March he felt it was time to pursue that direction more strongly. He finished out the month with us, but left a hole in our hearts and in the program.
Thankfully, Maria started observing and helping out the at the beginning this year. Some of you helped us provide a computer for her as she started physical therapy school in February. Because her classes are weekend only, we are working to train her to work with the patients in Canilla. Maria is young and has much to learn, but she says she enjoys working with the different people that come to Canilla.
In the meantime, we are working on a long-term plan to fill the need, as Maria will have clinical rotations for physical therapy school during the week starting next year. On top of that, we have the clinic waiting to go in Zona Reina without a rehabilitation promoter, currently. We already see the need to train more rehabilitation promoters and get other licensed therapists joining our team.
There will be more good-byes and hellos. We’d prefer more hellos. In the meantime, we keep moving forward with what we have, knowing He will provide all that we need as we continue to follow.
