The deadline for posting this blog was quickly approaching and I didn’t feel like I had anything to share. Between traveling, a busy week in Guatemala, and not feeling well, it has been hard for me to sit and be still. I had felt God’s presence in many ways, but I still struggled with what to share today. Then I was reminded of a blog written by a friend about how God spoke to her through a hymn.

So today, instead of having thoughts on a verse, I was reminded of the encouragement in the words of the hymns, especially “Great is Thy Faithfulness.”

As I listened to the words, I thought about God’s faithfulness to me this week through His

• Protection and presence as I travel;
• Peace in the middle of a computer crash and time waiting for my new one;
• Reminders to be present and to be aware of His presence;
• Gift of friends.

I hope you’re encouraged today by the words in this hymn. He is faithful, even when we or others are not.
