Rest
It has been a busy season. A season filled with ups and downs, surprises and disappointments, joy and sadness, and work and rest. Through it all, I’ve seen the need to keep Jesus as the center to maintain a healthy balance of ministry and rest.
I thrive on achieving a goal. When I really get into something, I find it be hard to stop and rest, regardless of how my body feels. I’ve seen the consequences of extremes on both sides of the battle, too much work and not enough work. However, I’ve learned that keeping a good balance is important for lifelong health and service.
So as of today, I’m taking a break from my blog to rest, relax, and enjoy some time with my family. I hope you’re able to do the same. Happy Independence Day next week to my US family and friends!
Then Jesus said to them, “The Sabbath was made to meet the needs of people, and not people to meet the requirements of the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord, even over the Sabbath!” (Mark 2:27-28 NLT)
